Perovskite Tech news
On July 19, 2026, the Canadian startup PerovsCan announced the commercial launch of its "Agri--Perov" product line, featuring semi--transparent perovskite solar modules specifically engineered for the agrivoltaics sector. These modules utilize a selective bandgap to permit the passage of photosynthetically active radiation (PAR) required for crop growth while simultaneously generating electricity from other spectrums. The company also finalized a contract for its first commercial--scale implementation at a 5--hectare greenhouse complex in Ontario, which is projected to offset 40% of the facility's total energy consumption.
