On July 23, 2026, Longi Green Energy Technology announced a new world record for perovskite--silicon tandem solar cell efficiency, achieving 34.2%. Alongside this technical milestone, the company unveiled the "Hi--MO P" prototype, its first commercial--format tandem module designed for utility--scale deployment. Longi also confirmed a strategic partnership with ACWA Power to implement a 100 MW pilot project in Saudi Arabia's NEOM district. The initiative will focus on validating the operational stability of perovskite--silicon modules in high--temperature, high--UV desert environments, marking a significant step toward the commercialization of next--generation photovoltaics in the MENA region.
