Agro and AI
The 2026 AI for Good Global Summit, scheduled for May 28–29, 2026, in Geneva, will debut the "Global Crop Resilience Map." Developed by a consortium including Microsoft and the FAO, this generative AI tool utilizes satellite imagery and climate modeling to predict localized crop failures up to six months in advance. The summit will also feature the launch of "Agri--LLM," an open--source large language model fine--tuned on agricultural datasets in over 40 regional languages to provide real--time agronomic extension services to smallholder farmers via low--bandwidth mobile interfaces.
