TSMC stock

On September 26, 2026, Taiwan's Ministry of Economic Affairs (MOEA) Department of Investment Review disclosed that it has cleared a cumulative US$44 billion in outbound capital investment filings for TSMC toward its U.S. subsidiary, TSMC Arizona, across seven approved tranches since December 2020. The clearance supports TSMC's US$265 billion multi--phase expansion in Phoenix, which encompasses plans for six advanced fabrication facilities, two advanced packaging plants, and an R&D hub. The regulatory approval confirms continued administrative backing from Taiwan's government for TSMC's overseas capacity diversification and facilitates execution of its expanded 2026 capital expenditure program, projected at US$60 billion to US$64 billion.
