On September 29, 2026, surface engineering specialist Ionbond, an IHI Group company, announced it will showcase its mission--critical surface solutions at the Future Forces Exhibition & Forum 2026, taking place October 21–23, 2026, in Prague, Czech Republic. The presentation highlights thin--film coatings deposited via Physical Vapor Deposition (PVD), Plasma--Assisted Chemical Vapor Deposition (PACVD), and Chemical Vapor Deposition (CVD) that combine extreme wear resistance with low--friction properties. Designed for demanding aerospace and defense applications, the coatings target mechanical components exposed to severe operating environments, heavy cyclic loading, and high thermal variations to reduce friction, prevent erosion, and extend service life.
