Maxeon Solar Technologies, Ltd. (NASDAQ: MAXN) announced on May 30, 2026, the launch of its "Maxeon Air--K" series, an ultra--lightweight solar module utilizing a Kesterite (CZTS) thin--film absorber. Designed for load--constrained commercial rooftops, the frameless, "peel--and--stick" module achieves a 19.5% efficiency while weighing 50% less than conventional silicon panels. This breakthrough leverages Kesterite’s flexibility and high absorption to eliminate the need for heavy glass or aluminum frames, targeting the Building--Integrated Photovoltaics (BIPV) sector. Commercial shipments are expected to begin in late 2026.
