On September 14, 2026, coatings manufacturer Hempel announced a three--year global hull coatings agreement with shipping group A.P. Moller -- Maersk covering a substantial share of its dry dock program from 2026 through 2028. The contract expands the deployment of Hempel's advanced silicone--based, low--friction hull coating systems across Maersk's commercial vessel fleet to minimize hydrodynamic drag, enhance fuel efficiency, and curb fleet emissions.
