On October 16, 2026, Zhejiang Geely Holding Group announced a global strategic partnership with Google to integrate Google Automotive Services into the digital cockpits of eligible vehicles across its brand portfolio—including Geely, Lynk & Co, Proton, Riddara, and smart—in overseas markets outside China and the United States. Under the agreement, vehicles will feature native Google built--in capabilities, integrating the Gemini conversational artificial intelligence model alongside Google Maps and Google Play. The initial vehicle rollout under the partnership is scheduled for the second half of 2027, subject to regulatory approvals and market readiness, expanding Alphabet Inc.'s automotive footprint and embedded connected--car software ecosystem.
