On October 26, 2026, the Office of the United States Trade Representative (USTR) issued a notice proposing a two--month extension of the suspension of Section 301 responsive measures against China. Under the proposal, retaliatory actions and fee liabilities concerning maritime transport services will remain suspended from November 10, 2026, through January 9, 2027, to facilitate ongoing bilateral negotiations aimed at addressing discriminatory acts and policies in logistics and shipbuilding.
