Meyer Burger Technology AG (SIX: MBTN) announced on August 24, 2026, the launch of its "Black K" module series, featuring a proprietary Kesterite--based (CZTS) anti--reflective coating. This "K--ARC" technology serves a dual purpose: it significantly reduces light reflection while acting as a secondary absorber layer to capture ultraviolet photons that are typically lost in standard silicon cells. The integration of this earth--abundant thin--film layer has enabled the "Black K" series to achieve a conversion efficiency of 23.8%. Meyer Burger plans to open pre--orders for the European residential market on September 1, 2026, with initial deliveries expected in early 2027.
