Built to bridge the divide between freeform product discovery and engineering delivery, Figma Specs provides a collaborative Markdown canvas that ties together unstructured brainstorms from FigJam, interface components, and architectural requirements in a unified workspace. Cross--functional teams can decompose high--level discovery concepts into structured requirements and live prototypes, while enhanced Model Context Protocol (MCP) support allows engineering agents and developers to consume design intent directly. Creation and editing inside Code Layers remains freely accessible on paid plans until November 4, 2026.
