On August 26, 2026, enterprise intelligence provider Glean unveiled a major architectural update to its enterprise knowledge platform, targeting critical operational bottlenecks including context gaps, inference costs, and enterprise AI sprawl. The release makes Glean Intelligence, enterprise--wide AI usage controls, and persistent agent memory via the Model Context Protocol (MCP) generally available. Built upon an enterprise context graph that indexes permissions, user activity, and cross--application content across hundreds of corporate SaaS tools in real time, the platform enables autonomous AI agents to execute tasks with native organizational awareness while preserving zero--trust access controls. Glean also introduced beta capabilities for independent task--execution agents, an AI gateway, and dynamic multi--model auto--routing, alongside launching a Global Partner Network to accelerate scalable, governed knowledge deployment across global enterprises.
