Meta bot

Ireland's internet watchdog, Coimisiún na Meán, has launched two formal investigations into Meta Platforms regarding potential violations of the EU Digital Services Act (DSA). The probe focuses on whether Facebook and Instagram utilize "dark patterns"—manipulative interface designs—to steer users away from non--algorithmic, chronological feed options. If found in breach of the regulations, Meta faces potential fines of up to 6% of its annual global turnover, which could exceed $12 billion based on current revenue trajectories.
