On October 16, 2026, Mercedes--Benz and NVIDIA announced an expansion of their strategic partnership to develop next--generation automated driving systems, advancing the platform toward SAE Level 4 autonomous driving capabilities and future robolimousines. Under the expanded agreement, Mercedes--Benz will integrate its proprietary MB.OS software architecture with NVIDIA's full--stack automotive portfolio, combining NVIDIA Hyperion compute and sensor infrastructure, the Alpamayo AI reasoning driving software stack for urban point--to--point assistance, and NVIDIA Halos for redundant safety guardrails.
