On June 3, 2026, AMD officially commenced the production ramp of its sixth--generation EPYC server processors, codenamed "Venice," utilizing TSMC’s advanced 2nm process technology. This milestone marks the first high--performance computing (HPC) product to enter volume production on the 2nm node. Manufacturing is currently centered in Taiwan, with strategic plans to expand output to TSMC’s Arizona facilities as they reach operational readiness. The transition to the 2nm architecture is projected to deliver substantial gains in power efficiency and transistor density, further solidifying TSMC’s dominant position in the global data center and AI infrastructure markets.
