Low friction coatings tech news
On September 1, 2026, Stan's announced the commercial launch of "Polar Drip Wax," a next--generation plant--based chain lubricant developed in partnership with Whistler Performance Labs (WPL). The product utilizes a proprietary "polar bonding technology" that creates a chemically and mechanically bonded low--friction wax layer on steel surfaces. Designed as a high--performance alternative to traditional immersion waxing, the PFAS--free and petroleum--free formula penetrates drivetrain components at room temperature before curing into a dry, durable film. The coating is engineered to provide over 320 kilometers of longevity per application while significantly reducing mechanical drag and improving drivetrain efficiency in all weather conditions.
