On September 24, 2026, AMD announced a collaboration with Perplexity to bring "Portable Computer," Perplexity's on--device agent platform, to Windows systems powered by AMD Ryzen AI Max Series processors and the AMD Ryzen AI Halo developer platform. The software stack packages local 27--billion--parameter models, an agent orchestrator, and a sensitive--content classifier, enabling Pro and Max subscribers with at least 24 GB of graphics--accessible memory to run agentic AI workflows on--device without consuming cloud inference credits.
