LONGi Green Energy Technology (SHA: 601012) announced on August 28, 2026, the launch of its "Hi--MO K" module series, marking the first commercial integration of Kesterite (CZTS) in a mass--produced Heterojunction (HJT) architecture. The "Hi--MO K" utilizes a nanostructured Kesterite window layer that significantly improves the short--circuit current by reducing parasitic absorption compared to traditional amorphous silicon layers. This innovation has pushed the module's conversion efficiency to 25.8%. LONGi expects this technology to lower production costs by 15% due to the elimination of certain high--cost vacuum deposition steps, leveraging Kesterite's compatibility with atmospheric pressure processing.
