Tesla and independent energy company NatPower announced a $5 billion strategic agreement on June 24, 2026, to construct 25 gigawatt--hours (GWh) of battery storage capacity across Italy and the United Kingdom. This project represents the initial phase of a long--term collaboration intended to eventually surpass 100 GWh of total storage. Tesla will supply its Megapack systems and proprietary energy trading software to facilitate grid balancing and renewable energy integration.
