On October 12, 2026, AMD announced the launch of the AMD Helion agentic AI rack, an open blueprint for enterprise and hyperscale agentic AI infrastructure based on Open Compute Project specifications. Expanding upon AMD's Helios architecture, the Helion platform enables operators to flexibly align CPU compute density and power with GPU acceleration to match distinct AI agent workloads. The modular architecture supports air-- and liquid--cooled configurations, including an ultra--dense, CPU--only layout powering up to 32,768 6th Gen AMD EPYC processor cores, as well as an integrated token routing layer that directs multi--agent inferences across both proprietary frontier and open--source foundation models.
