SolarEdge Technologies, Inc. (NASDAQ: SEDG) announced on September 3, 2026, the commercial launch of its "S--Series K" power optimizers, the first power electronics solution specifically engineered for Kesterite (CZTS) thin--film modules. The S--Series K addresses the unique electrical characteristics of Kesterite, such as its specific voltage--current (IV) hysteresis and spectral sensitivity, through a proprietary MPPT algorithm called "K--Track." This technology enables a 6% increase in energy yield compared to standard optimizers by dynamically adjusting to the metastable states of the CZTS absorber layer. The product launch aims to support the growing ecosystem of earth--abundant thin--film residential solar systems.
