Trina Solar Co., Ltd. (SHA: 688599) announced on June 25, 2026, the successful commissioning of its "Vertex K" series in a 50MW utility--scale pilot in Inner Mongolia. This project represents the first large--scale deployment of Kesterite (CZTS) technology in extreme desert environments. The modules utilize a proprietary "Gradient--Sulfurization" process to optimize bandgap grading, achieving a 75% bifaciality factor. Trina Solar highlighted the material's superior temperature coefficient and high resistance to potential--induced degradation (PID) as key drivers for its adoption in arid regions.
