On September 25, 2026, Vertical Aerospace (NYSE: EVTL) announced the opening of a dedicated Aircraft Assembly Centre at Cotswold Airport, marking a strategic pivot toward manufacturing and commercialization. Supported by a £1.5 million investment, the 60,000--square--foot facility expands the company's total site footprint to approximately 130,000 square feet and provides the production capacity to assemble more than 25 Valo eVTOL aircraft annually during initial commercial rollout. The centre will build certification--conforming aircraft for regulatory compliance testing with the UK Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) and EASA, with assembly of the first conforming aircraft scheduled to begin in the fourth quarter of 2027. Vertical also confirmed it expects to announce plans for a separate full--scale production facility in the fourth quarter of 2026 to support high--volume manufacturing.
