Hanwha Qcells (KRX: 000880) announced on May 23, 2026, the development of its "Q.ANTUM K" architecture, a hybrid cell design that integrates a Kesterite (CZTS) passivation layer into its high--efficiency n--type TOPCon platform. By leveraging the wide bandgap properties of Kesterite, the company has achieved a certified cell efficiency of 26.4%, effectively reducing optical losses at the front surface. Hanwha intends to initiate pilot production at its Dalton, Georgia facility in late 2026, positioning the technology as a sustainable, lead--free alternative for the premium residential segment.
