On September 9, 2026, MedGlide Innovations announced the commercial availability of "SurgiSlick Bio--X," a next--generation biocompatible low--friction coating designed for minimally invasive surgical instruments and catheters. The technology utilizes a hydrophilic polymer brush architecture that achieves a coefficient of friction below 0.01 upon hydration, significantly reducing tissue trauma during vascular navigation. The coating incorporates a covalent bonding mechanism to eliminate particulate shedding, addressing key safety concerns in interventional cardiology. MedGlide Innovations will demonstrate the technology at the Global MedTech Summit in Singapore starting October 12, 2026.
