Microsoft announced a strategic transition for its Azure IP co--sell motion to a "Marketplace--first" model for fiscal year 2027. Effective July 1, 2026, the company is phasing out the legacy Partner Reported Azure Consumed Revenue (PRACR) mechanism in favor of automated, marketplace--driven transactions. This realignment is designed to enhance revenue auditability and better align partner incentives with Microsoft's long--term strategy of scaling third--party software solutions through the Azure Marketplace.
