This milestone marks the transition to the full--scale assembly, integration, and testing phase for the company's first constellation of Very Low Earth Orbit (VLEO) satellites. The VLEO--1 platform is specifically engineered to operate in orbits below 300km, providing superior resolution and reduced latency for Earth observation and communication missions. Redwire confirmed that the inaugural launch of the VLEO--1 platform is currently scheduled for March 20, 2027.
