L3Harris Technologies (NYSE: LHX) was awarded a $145 million contract by the Australian Department of Defence on September 2, 2026, for the delivery of Falcon IV software--defined tactical radios. This procurement, part of the JP 9110 program, is designed to modernize the Australian Defence Force's tactical communications and ensure seamless interoperability with U.S. and allied systems. Christopher Aebli, President of Communications & Spectrum Dominance at L3Harris, stated that the agreement "further solidifies our role as a key provider of secure, resilient networking solutions for our strategic partners in the Indo--Pacific." L3Harris will showcase these capabilities at the Land Forces 2026 International Land Defence Exposition in Melbourne starting September 21, 2026.
