Perovskite Tech news
On July 22, 2026, Swift Solar announced the commissioning of its first high--volume roll--to--roll manufacturing line for flexible perovskite solar foils in San Carlos, California. The facility is designed to produce 250 MW of lightweight solar material annually. In conjunction with the launch, the company finalized a strategic partnership with SpaceX to provide specialized perovskite solar arrays for future Starlink satellites, leveraging the technology's superior radiation resistance and power--to--weight ratio compared to traditional gallium arsenide cells.
