On July 16, 2026, NVIDIA announced a strategic partnership with Noetra Corp. to construct a national AI infrastructure facility in Japan, supported by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI). The "Vera Rubin AI factory" will feature 13,750 Vera CPUs and 27,500 Rubin GPUs, delivering 140 megawatts of data center capacity. This project is designed to anchor Japan's FRONTia initiative, facilitating the creation of multimodal foundation models for autonomous robotics and industrial digital twins.
