On July 17, 2026, Contemporary Amperex Technology Co., Ltd. (CATL) announced the successful completion of its first "zero--carbon" logistics route in China, utilizing a fleet of heavy--duty trucks powered by its proprietary "Qi--Ji" battery--swapping technology. The initiative, spanning 1,200 kilometers, demonstrates the commercial viability of electric long--haul transportation. CATL plans to scale this infrastructure to "decarbonize major industrial corridors" across the country by 2028.
