(NASDAQ: SEDG) announced on July 2, 2026, the commercial release of its "S--Series K" power optimizers, specifically designed to interface with Kesterite (CZTS) thin--film modules. The product utilizes a proprietary "Adaptive MPPT" (Maximum Power Point Tracking) algorithm to mitigate the efficiency losses associated with the high series resistance and non--linear thermal behavior of CZTS materials. SolarEdge noted that the S--Series K enables Kesterite--based arrays to achieve a 5% higher energy yield in variable shading conditions compared to standard optimizers, marking a significant step in the bankability of earth--abundant PV technologies.
