On October 23, 2026, Zoom Video Communications announced the acquisition of Onyx, an open--source artificial intelligence platform engineered for enterprise search and knowledge management. Integrated directly into Zoom AI Services to support its new Unified Context Layer, the platform addresses enterprise knowledge fragmentation by aggregating and indexing data across more than 50 third--party corporate applications, including documentation systems, internal wikis, ticketing platforms, and customer databases. The integration allows organizations to ground autonomous AI agents and automated workflows in real--time institutional context while providing self--hosting capabilities to meet strict enterprise data sovereignty and security standards.
