Project management news from around the world

On July 20, 2026, KPMG International published its global research report, "Transforming the Enterprise 2026," introducing "Enterprise Orchestration" as a critical project management methodology for the era of continuous change. Moving beyond episodic transformation, this approach enables organizations to manage an average of 3.5 concurrent large--scale initiatives by replacing traditional siloed coordination with a system of "Interconnected Capabilities." The framework utilizes Bayesian network analysis to map and optimize the reinforcing relationships between different project streams, ensuring that execution is aligned with enterprise performance rather than isolated milestones. The study, which surveyed 1,750 senior leaders, identifies orchestration as the defining capability for sustaining performance in complex, AI--integrated operating environments.
