Redwire Corporation (NYSE: RDW) announced on June 4, 2026, that it has secured a contract from Luxembourg--based Astrobiome Space to launch the inaugural mission for its commercial space greenhouse on the International Space Station (ISS). The mission will involve cultivating wild strawberries and testing proprietary soil enhancement biostimulants developed from microbes adapted to extreme space environments. This award marks the first flight of the Redwire Greenhouse, which the company identifies as the world's first commercial space greenhouse, and establishes a new commercial capability in the space--based biotechnology and regenerative agriculture sectors.
