Creotech Instruments S.A. (WSE:CRI) announced on September 22, 2026, that it has been selected by the European Space Agency (ESA) to lead the "LUMOS" project, a EUR 6.5 million initiative to develop laser communication terminals for deep--space missions. The project aims to provide high--bandwidth data links for future lunar and Martian exploration. Creotech will be responsible for the design and manufacturing of the terminal's precision pointing mechanism. The preliminary design review (PDR) is expected to be completed by May 2027.
