On October 26, 2026, Ukrainian Defence Minister Evgeniy Khmara and Moldovan Defence Minister Anatolie Nosatîi signed a five--year bilateral Agreement on Military--Technical Cooperation in Kyiv, witnessed by Ukrainian Prime Minister Sergii Koretskyi and Moldovan Prime Minister Vasile Tofan. The strategic agreement establishes a framework for joint defence industrial projects, maintenance and modernization of military equipment, specialized training, cyber defence collaboration, and airspace protection. Under the pact, Ukraine will transfer operational combat experience and provide ongoing advisory support for the development of Moldova's air defence architecture while formally preserving Chișinău's constitutional neutrality.
