On October 13, 2026, BigBear.ai announced that it has secured over $225 million in contract awards since July across defense, intelligence, homeland security, and federal civilian agencies. The awards encompass more than 25 new generative AI implementations across customers including the FBI, NASA, the U.S. Coast Guard, the Department of Energy, and the Department of Veterans Affairs, alongside successful contract recompetes with U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) in partnership with SAIC and Unissant. The influx of contracts substantially expands the company's federal backlog and footprint across national security and combatant command operations.
