Planet Labs PBC Stock watching
On October 20, 2026, Planet Labs PBC (NYSE: PL) published first light imagery from its Tanager--2 hyperspectral satellite and 18 SuperDoves comprising Flock 4J, signifying successful early--stage orbital commissioning. Developed in collaboration with the Carbon Mapper Coalition and utilizing imaging spectrometer technology developed at NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory, Tanager--2 extends Planet's hyperspectral imaging constellation designed to detect and measure point--source greenhouse gas emissions, including methane and carbon dioxide. Concurrently, the addition of Flock 4J expands the throughput and temporal frequency of the proprietary PlanetScope daily Earth observation fleet.
