On July 2, 2026, Planet Labs PBC (NYSE: PL) announced a strategic partnership with Isar Aerospace to launch a Pelican--series satellite on the first German--built satellite--rocket mission. The mission, scheduled to launch from the Andøya Spaceport in Norway, is designed to validate the Spectrum launch vehicle and diversify Planet’s orbital deployment options. This collaboration strengthens Planet’s European operational footprint and supports the continued scaling of its high--resolution Earth observation constellation.
