On June 3, 2026, the Space Energy Development Alliance was officially launched at the SNEC 2026 exhibition in Shanghai. This strategic consortium, which includes founding members such as GalaxySpace and Kunshan GCL Photovoltaic Materials, is focused on the commercialization of space--based solar power (SBSP) systems. The alliance aims to leverage high--efficiency perovskite photovoltaic technology to develop lightweight, radiation--hardened solar arrays for satellite constellations and orbital energy hubs. This initiative represents a significant step toward establishing space--to--earth wireless power transmission as a viable renewable energy source.
