On September 14, 2026, Novo Nordisk presented pivotal Phase 3a data for CagriSema at the European Association for the Study of Diabetes (EASD) Annual Meeting in Istanbul. The REDEFINE 1 trial results demonstrated that the once--weekly fixed--dose combination of cagrilintide and semaglutide achieved a mean weight loss of 25.8% over 68 weeks, significantly outperforming the 15.2% weight loss observed in the semaglutide--only arm. Following these results, Novo Nordisk confirmed its intention to initiate global regulatory submissions for CagriSema in the fourth quarter of 2026.
