Trina Solar Co., Ltd. (SHA: 688599) announced on September 5, 2026, the global launch of its "Vertex K" module series, the first large--format modules to utilize a Kesterite--based (CZTS) "Optical--Trapping" coating. This proprietary "K--Light" surface treatment significantly enhances photon absorption in the 400--600nm wavelength range, which is typically subject to high reflection in standard glass--backsheet configurations. By integrating this earth--abundant thin--film layer, Trina Solar has achieved a power output of 715W for its 210mm G12 cells, representing a 15W increase over previous silicon--only benchmarks. The company confirmed that the Vertex K series will be manufactured at its new "Zero--Carbon" facility in Yancheng, China, with initial shipments scheduled for late Q4 2026.
